Dr. Marc Berson
Dr. Berson is a 1979 graduate of Muhlenberg College with a major in Natural Sciences. He is a 1983 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and continued his professional studies by completing a residency in Primary Care and Contact Lenses at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Berson went on to complete an M.B.A. degree concentrating in Health Care Management at DeSales University.
Dr. Berson is an Adjunct Professor at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and has lectured nationally and internationally on contact lenses, business and environmental optometry. He is a faculty member in the External Education Program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, training several interns each year. Dr. Berson has been in private practice in Allentown since 1985.
Dedicated to community and public service, Dr. Berson has served on many local boards, including Presidency of the Lehigh Valley Optometric Society, Sertoma Club of Allentown, Executive Board of the Jewish Day School, and Temple Beth El. Dr. Berson has been married to Lauren since 1983, and is the proud father of Andrew and Ronni.
Dr. Monica Martocci
Dr. Martocci is a native of Bethlehem, PA and a graduate of Moravian College with a major in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 1992 from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA after completing her specialty training in Portland, Oregon and the Cotting School for children with special needs in Massachusetts. Dr. Martocci received post graduate training in Pediatric Optometry and Behavioral Optometry, and went on to direct the Binocular Vision Center of Easton, Pennsylvania.
She joined Dr. Berson in 1993 and practices general and pediatric optometry with specialization in vision therapy and primary healthcare. She is a past President and Board Member of the Lehigh Valley Optometric Society and she is a member of the American Optometric Association along with her activity in other optometric related programs. She has given numerous seminars locally and has been published in the New England Journal of Optometry. Dr. Martocci has been involved in training fourth-year interns from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry since 1994. Dr. Martocci resides in Allentown with her husband Christopher and her son Matthew.
She is currently involved in a number of outdoor programs including scouting and hiking, along with other civic and church related activities.
